I am the Adaped Physical Education teacher at Riveroaks Elementary.  I have been at Riveroaks for the past 15 yrs.  I love working with my students and have high expectations of them when we are working together. 

The Adapted Physical Education Program at Riveroaks Elementary is designed to help students with gross motor difficulties.  A variety of physical education exercises are designed specifically for the physically challenged student (students with physical disabilities, health conditions, or other concerns that require a personalized program adapted to individual needs).  Individual assessment is monitored and exercise programs are designed to enhance one's abilities. 

The objective is to improve those skills, succeed in their growth and optimum motor development so the children become healthy and fit individuals. It is a program in which I provide activities that foster a positive self-image, encourage personal and social development, while promoting the benefits of a lifelong commitment to a healthy lifestyle for all children.
